4.3 Cleaning Brass and Copper
Application:
Removing corrosion, tarnish and oxides from brass and copper.

Media blasting and chemical etching.

Cost and liability of chemicals and contaminated waste disposal, media contamination.
Benefits of CRYONOMIC® cleaning:
A very good application for CO2 cleaning. Cost savings are generated by virtually eliminating the cost and liabilities of chemicals and contaminated waste and eliminating the contamination from blasting media. Use caution on thin or soft substrates. CO2 blasting is non-abrasive and will not remove "stains" in the substrate. Solder may be difficult to remove. The CO2 cleaning technology is perfect for the cleaning of statues made of metals and for the cleaning of metal plates fixed on stone or brick where chemicals are impossible to use.
