7.2 Metal Joining
Application:
Removing flux and oxidation after brazing (brass tube).
Current method:
Agitated acid dip wash using muriatic acid or similar acids.
Dissatisfactions:
Cost and liability of chemicals and contaminated waste disposal ;parts must be dried before further processing.
Benefits of CRYONOMIC® cleaning:
A very good application for CO2 cleaning. Brazing flux and oxidation are easily removed by blast-cleaning. (See also 6.1.)
