8.3 Printing newspapers
Application:
Removing ink, oil and grease from printing presses.
Current method:
Presses are taken off-line and items are hand-cleaned using solvents.
Dissatisfactions:
Labor intensive and slow ; cost and liability of solvent contaminated waste disposal.
