11.  Can I use my shop air for operating the system?

Yes, the Cryonomic® blasting units are specially designed for use with shop air, but there are certain conditions that must be met. Typical shop air operates around 75-100 PSI.

This pressure is sufficient for many applications if other prerequisites are met:

 Use of a low air volume consumption nozzle in combination with a GVA 5000 blastgun assembly if possible. See Nozzle Air Consumption Table.

 Sufficient air flow must be available to handle all shop equipment demands. At 100 PSI, the VSU 11OE consumes about 140 CFM with a low air volume consumption nozzle.

 The recommended shop air must be dry up to a dewpoint of -2O°C.

 If shop air does not meet the above requirements, additional equipment may be needed.
